Here at Real Skills, we are dedicated to helping candidates to get qualified and start work on the railways, sooner rather than later! Personal Track Safety is an essential requirement of anyone who wants to work in this field, ensuring that they have the knowledge and understanding to work safely.
Our PTS Training can cover aspects of:
- PTS E-Learning
- PTS Practical Training
- DCCR Training
With PTS Training, E-Learning is a prerequisite. E-Learning is specifically designed to provide you with an abundance of information, making you aware of what is expected of you and what you can expect from a career in a demanding environment like the railways.
At Real Skills, our PTS Training will educate candidates in the following:
- Railway Terminology
- Network Rail Infrastructure
- Safe System of Work
- Site Controller and Warden Responsibilities
By the end of the E-Learning, delegates will need to complete a short exam to ensure that they are prepared to undergo practical training.
Needless to say, everyone learns differently; some prefer to sit in a classroom and study whilst others work best practically. Although our Personal Track Safety Training is classroom-based, we do also provide practical training which allows individuals to put into practice what they have learnt in the classroom.
Our practical training will allow candidates to demonstrate their ability to interpret the PTS Handbook effectively. As well as this, they will be able to follow relevant instructions provided by course trainers to ensure that they are safe when on or near the railway infrastructure.
The practical assessment is also a great way to determine whether candidates have understood the Safe System of Work.
Our PTS Training will include an introduction exercise where we will make clear responsibilities to ensure that you know what to do and how to do it. We’ll also help you to react in a matter of urgency when an emergency arises. The importance of communication will become clear when taking our PTS practical training.
The DCCR Training is also covered in our PTS Training. We offer this course to individuals who already have a PTS Card. This course provides detailed information to enable you to work safely in DC electrified areas. If you’re looking to work trackside, our training will help you to understand lifesaving rules when dealing with emergency situations.
The main purpose of PTS Training is to understand the basic principles of safety and to follow simple instructions in order to identify hazards quickly and effectively.
So, if a career in the railway industry is right for you, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us and book a place on our PTS Training Course today!
