I really enjoyed the study programme and it has taught me everything I need to know. The course was fun and interesting. I feel I know a lot about the rail industry and I am now confident in my work.
Whether you’ve been thinking about it for quite some time or it’s a relatively new concept, working on the railway is an especially rewarding career to have and here at Real Skills Training we can help you to pursue the job of your dreams!
Before you can start work on the railway, you need to undergo Personal Track Safety Training (PTS Training). Depending on where you’re based, we provide PTS Training to suit the requirements of employers who are looking to educate their employees about the importance of track safety.
If you’re looking for PTS Training London, we can provide this onsite, bringing our services and training to your premises. As well as the onsite PTS Training London, we can also provide courses at our training academies which are based in Leeds and Liverpool.
PTS Training London – What’s included?
With PTS Training London, we aim to provide candidates with an abundance of knowledge that is useful for when they actually start working on the railway lines. Our qualified trainers educate candidates on track safety, ensuring that they gain a clear insight into what can be expected from working in one of the most dangerous environments and how to react should a hazard occur.
As well as this, PTS Training London will allow individuals to demonstrate their understanding of the Safe System to Work, allowing them to put into practice what they have learnt. At Real Skills, we offer the PTS Training Course to ensure that employees work in a safe manner and they will also be assessed on their ability to interpret the Personal Track Safety Handbook.
What does the PTS Course London cover?
The training course is not solely based on working in the classroom, we provide candidates with the opportunity to gain experience hands-on, utilising what they already know, what they have understood from the training in the classroom and the PTS Handbook.
The PTS Course London covers many of the potential hazards that can arise in the railway industry, including the following:
- Worker and Vehicle Collisions
- Trips and Falls
- Power Faults
In addressing such hazards, the PTS Course ensures that employees know what is required of them to remain safe at all times and allows them to respond in the safest, most appropriate way.
Applying for the PTS Course
Before you can undertake the PTS Training , you need to pass a medical, drugs and alcohol test to make sure that you are fit to work. Anyone who is under the influence of drugs or alcohol cannot apply for the PTS Course London because their ability to react is affected and this can be extremely dangerous when working on or close to the railway track!
The E-Learning is yet another pre-requisite of the PTS Training Courses provided by Real Skills. The online course provides candidates with the opportunity to put their knowledge to the test and needs to be completed before we can offer a place on our PTS Course. Sponsorship is also required from your future employer- without it, you won’t be able to participate in our training.
To guarantee safe working practice, we offer the PTS Course to provide your employees with a wider skillset, making sure that they are aware of what’s going on in the surrounding environment and knowing how to react in the event of an emergency.
