This apprenticeship is for both young people and adult learners who have completed a previous early years qualification and/or necessary experience in an early years setting. For this apprenticeship standard, you will need to have completed a suitable early years qualification previously, such as the Early Years Educator Apprenticeship or Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce course as this apprenticeship standard builds on the themes, topics and skills developed in those courses.
To apply for one of our apprenticeships, you need to complete an initial assessment and a skills check to identify your current level of skills and knowledge, this allows us to ensure you are completing the correct level of apprenticeship. We request that you have a GCSE in Maths and English at level C and above or equivalent or, you are willing to undertake functional skills level 2 in English and Maths.

- NCFE CACHE Level 5 Diploma for the Early Years Senior Practitioner, this qualification covers themes and topics such as:
- Quality environments
- Early years pedagogy
- Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)
- Partnership working
- The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Leading and managing
- Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (if not already held or expiring)
- Level 2 English and maths (if required)
