To apply for one of our apprenticeships, you need to complete an initial assessment and a skills check to identify your current level of skills and knowledge, this allows us to ensure you are completing the correct level of apprenticeship. We request that you have a GCSE in Maths and English at level C and above or equivalent or, you are willing to undertake functional skills level 2 in English and Maths.
Course objectives: Our apprenticeships allow students of all ages and abilities to benefit from practical, hands-on experience within the early years sector. Applying for this Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, you will enhance your skills and knowledge and as part of the apprenticeship you will cover:
- NCFE Cache Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator), this qualification is structured around 3 key themes:
- Theme 1: Health and well-being
- Theme 2: Legislation, frameworks and professional practice
- Theme 3: Play, development and learning for school readiness
- Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (if not already held)
- Level 2 English and maths (if required)
