Controller of Site Safety (COSS)

Course Information: This course is for individuals who are wanting to develop additional railway skills. This course is designed to train persons who have been nominated by their line manager or sponsor to enable them to attain the Controller of Site Safety competence.

Pre-Requisite: Manager to decide if suitable or not, Meet correct medical requirements, must hold a Valid PTS competence and Must be out of Learning support.

Course Objective: This course aims to provide each individual to correctly determine their responsibilities and duties when working as a Controller of Site Safety when setting up a Safe System of Work on or near the line. A COSS competence is required to be held by anyone who is required to set up a safe system of work

Duration: 6 days

Maximum Attendees: 8

Certification: Course results will be uploaded to the Sentinel site within 48hrs.
